Humidifiers >> Hy Fog
Here's how it works. HY-FOG utilizes a centrifugal airflow fan and a spinning atomization disc to produce a finely atomized mist of water for Humidifying and evaporative air-cooling. When the HY-FOG fan moves moist air around the application area the ambient temperature drops as the suspended water particles evaporate. Moreover, the moisture content in the air increases and thus RH % rises and at the same time temperature reduces. The HY-FOG system does not use high-pressure nozzles to atomize the water. Instead the water is run onto the disc spinning at 3500 rpm to produce atomization down to 18 microns measured on the Dv 0.9 scale. Studies have shown that water droplets of this size tend to follow the air-stream thereby avoiding impingement on the fan blades and consequently avoiding erosion. There are some very smart design innovations to aid the atomization process, but it is as simple as that, NO nozzles. ![]() The HY-FOG system is available for fixed overhead mounting with optional oscillation or mounted on a pedestal with wheels when you need a mobile unit. HY-FOG is a tried and trusted method of humidifying and cooling in several overseas markets. The HY-FOG fixed system is easy to install and is a low maintenance, cost effective humidifying and cooling, alternative. A low-pressure water supply is all that's required. The water volume is controlled or turned-off independent of the fan. Excellent air movement within the application area is an added bonus with the HY-FOG system. Technical Specifications
